Kamlesh RajputBsc Msc (Industrial Chemistry)

Quality and Regulatory

Kamlesh holds a Masters degree in Industrial Chemistry with 21+ years’ experience in quality compliance management, quality assurance and the introduction and implementation of Quality Management Systems (QMS).

Subject matter expert with an in-depth knowledge of quality and regulatory requirements within the medical device and pharmaceutical industries, and the ability to provide comprehensive strategic and operational support to senior leadership teams, project teams and key stakeholder groups.

Specific expertise in the technology transfer of products to overseas and local manufacturers, and the management of 3rd party suppliers, manufacturers, distribution centres, transporters, and laboratories.

Dr. Emad Roshandel BSc Msc (Hons) PhD

Electronics Engineering, Product Design

Emad has strong commercial and research background in electrical engineering, publishing 50+ publications. As former R&D Director at Eram Sanat Mooj Gostar, he was pivotal in establishing innovations in switching power supplies and motor drivers. He possesses a unique skill with significant experience in both low and high voltage switching power.

Currently, Emad leads electronics R&D and commercialisation at Infusion Innovations, focusing on the infusion pump and peripherals.

Frank Feng BEng (Hons)

Product co-ordinator, Engineering and testing

Frank has an extensive background and education in both chemical and pharmaceutical engineering, both of which are invaluable specialist skills required for his role in project planning and management, as well as the detailed design reviews and testing necessary for medical device commercialisation.

In addition to his role in Infusion Innovations, Frank is the lead manufacturing technician at CPIE; further leverages his manufacturing expertise to contribute to product and process design while maintaining a strong focus on process improvement and optimisation.

Georgina Hughes BPharm (Hons) BPharmSc

Clinical research, Subject matter expert

Georgina is uniquely positioned in that she holds a double degree in pharmacy and pharmaceutical science. This enables her to significantly contribute to both CPIE and Infusion Innovations through the broad skill sets across community, hospital and manufacturing sectors. Her contribution to medical device design and commercialisation is invaluable given she can leverage this background in pharmacy practice and research.

Concurrently, she is undertaking a PhD where she is investigating how we can make medicines safer and more effective with the use of real-world data (‘big data’). This experience provides the team with a significant insight into the future of medical technologies and how they can support both commercial outcomes and inform policy and practice improvements infusions in the home.

A/Prof Janet Sluggett BPharm (Hons) GDipEpid PhD GAICD

Senior clinical researcher, Subject matter expert

Dr. Sluggett’s experience is extensive as a pharmacist and senior researcher (15+ yrs). Her role in the team is to provide senior leadership through oversight and guidance of clinical research, contribution to funding activities, and to drive governance principles.

Her background in senior pharmacist positions (both clinical and manufacturing) along with her strong research background (Associate Professor, UniSA) provides the necessary support and track record required by the R&D team especially as commercialisation is being realised.

In more recent years, Janet has been appointed as non-executive directors both the Australian MedicAlert Foundation and for Southern Cross Care (SA, NT & VIC) Inc.

Michael Gallagher GradDipAnaes (Hons) DipNSG

Sales and marketing, Subject matter expert

Michael’s experience in the Australian healthcare sector spans 25+ years, with a strong foundation in clinical nursing at the bedside but also his subsequent career in national roles as clinical trainer and strategic account management within the medical device industry.

Further to this, Michael has had his own personal experience in establishing a successful medical device startup which led him to develop broad skills across manufacturing, distributions, product development, sales and marketing, and end-user education.

Currently Michael’s role as business development and key account management across CPIE’s manufacturing business and infusion innovations; engaging directly with both internal and external stakeholders across the businesses.  the device workup and commercialization strategy of a novel ambulatory electronic infusion device – the scarab)

Vicki Gay

Executive Assistant, Finance Officer

Vicki Gay, executive assistant and financial officer, and has been directly embedded in this R&D project for the past 11 years.

She has been instrumental in providing administrative and executive support to the Board and is directly involved in strategic planning and corporate governance.

Furthermore, Vicki has provided valuable contribution to the oversight and delivery of project funding and financial management.
